I don’t know how I feel about the rest of the kitchen, but I like the use of beadboard. The standout for me, though, is that painted tree trunk. I absolutely love it. The white keeps it from being too rustic, but it still adds a natural, chic touch to what would otherwise be a fairly bland room.
Here’s another kitchen with contrasting cabinets.
- contrasting cabinets - black island with white counter, white outer cabinets with white counters
- wish the trim on the windows was black instead of dark brown
- custom cabinets on far wall - gorgeous, lots of storage
- subway tile walls all the way around (don’t like them on the stove hood though - would prefer stainless)
- black light fixtures
- like the industrial touches - stools, lighting, even the subway tile - adds interest to an otherwise very traditional kitchen
- farmhouse sink
- contrasting cabinets - white cabinets with black counters on outside, black counters with white counters on island
- stunning black light pendants
- large stove/hearth
- hardwood floor
- windows
- beadboard on ceiling
- not many upper cabinets but that huge island makes up for it
- hardwood
- backsplash
- very calming
- love the huge mostly glass shower w/bench
- possibly could’ve made it a walk-in shower - reminder that there will always be more than one option!
- sink
- raised cabinet allows for additional tower storage, great use of vertical space
- wall-mounted faucet
- cabinets - from IKEA? - like the contrast of the black against all the blue and white
- unique toilet
- lights
- mosaic tile - pretty, but I worry that it will be “so 2010” in a few years
- tile on back wall of shower repeated in band on sink wall
- faucet - wall-mounted, dark oil-rubbed bronze, unique style
- deep embossed copper (?) sink
- subway tile backsplash
- light counters (marble?) and dark wood cabinets
This house has such a great, warm glamour to it. I love their attention to detail.
- farm sink
- raised faucet
- windows
- open shelves
- potted orchard and vase of flowers
- cabinets
